It'll only be okay for playing GTA V and Fortnite. What's weird is that it's not a bad machine but that MX150 graphics card is seriously under-powered in 2019—especially with a 4K display. 4K with an MX150 is like putting a solid gold case on an iPhone 3 in 2019. I'd wait until Black Friday. If you're looking for a laptop there will be plenty of good choices that'll be on sale. Look for something with an 8th Gen Intel chip and at the very least a GTX 1050 Ti, but I'm sure for the $1200 price-range you can find something with an Nvidia 1060 or 1660 which will perform so MUCH better than an MX150 and you'll be able to play more games with better graphics & higher FPS. - Source: I work at Skytech Gaming (btw we just started carrying laptops that for the price are pretty damn good. #shamelessplug)

Looks like a decent deal, but you're probably paying a lot for that 4k display, which you might not really need. Consider other options with 1080p or 1440p panels. See if there is anything out there with the latest 10th gen Intel processors. I assume this some kind of thin & light/ultrabook, because of the price and specs. The graphics card won't handle much in the way of gaming. But if you just want a laptop for content consumption and working, browsing etc. Thanks!

Optane is useless if youre using an nvme The prozessor is 2nd last gen. The gpu is ok but overall for this price... Only the 4k display is reasonable. Maybe look for an 1440p monitor. On such a small display its hard to see the difference anyway

You want to game ob a 16" monitor???? I started with 24" and got 27" now. Every time I look on my 24" screen I'm like "How the fuck could I play on this tiny screen???" And you want to tell me you wanna play on 16"?????? Am I just mixing something up here??

Laptops vary alot, you can get much better overall system performance for nearly half but sacrifice formfactor, build quality, display and battery life, depends what you are looking for, for gaming this is obviously useless, so is the optane module without an extra HDD its accelerating, overall the price is alright for the specs though, depending on what the whole thing is build like

Would suggest to get a good i5 and try to find a better GPU and Storage. Atleast 1tb HDD. If you only going gaming thel you dont need an I7. I have an I5-6600k running 4 years now and still crushing every game i want to play. Look at Asus if you want laptop. Prices are pretty good and for 1200 you can get better then this one. Also 32gb ram is not needed. 16gb will get you anywhere for the next 5 years or so.

4K display for that CPU and GPU. What are they thinking? BTW, that frequency is incredibly misleading. That CPU is a low TDP chip, most of laptops with this chip has very generic cooling, it can't even maintain the base frequency.

For something small for school to carry... Yes... For everything else too expensive, a little better for 940dlls the Yoga 730 Platinum with gtx 1050
