Wish it was in Paperback too

A nice, short (novella length) introduction/prequel to a new Love Inspired Suspense K-9 series of books by different authors. Only downside is that is is only available as a Kindle ebook. This is the first Ebook I have read (it sort of forced me into thinking about and actually finally buying a Kindle reader --- I really prefer a tactile reading method). It was a short cute story but I wish I had it hard-copy format. I share many of my purchased books with a long-distance friend who lives in the boonies in another state and doesn't get out much. I have, since this book, acquired and read the six other books in this series in paperback format and will be sending them off soon to her. She will , however not have this ebook unless she has better access to the internet than she used to and gets a reader or an app (that's a lot to do for just one novella - she isn't quite as crazy as I am). The back-story continuing throughout the books is complete but the 'Christmas get-together' has yet to be published as of this review.

Best of every thing

I love this series, both the full length and the shorter novellas. The love inspired is a formulaic sub-genre of the romance category which is centered on prayer and God. However, the stories are well written and have strong characters that defy most stereotypes. This novella is a beautiful example of this with both the female protagonist and her dog battling (and winning) a case of PTSD. Having lived through a bombing, officer Zara and her dog, Radar, have spent a year training to return to duty. After a day of upper level training, Radar alerts while Zara is driving home. Trusting her dog, Zara stops and foils a burglary but must shoot one of the perps. Can Zara and Radar outsmart the perps partner? If long time friend, Dylan has any say in the matter, Zara will! But just how close a friend does Dylan wish to be?

Great beginning to the Classified K-9 Unit series!

At 60 pages in length, it's a great introduction to a new K-9 series! This is where it all starts and getting to know Zara & Dylan was a real treat. Who can resist Zara's four legged partner Radar? A bit gun shy due to a traumatic event, both Zara and Radar must get past the fear if they are to make the coveted FBI team. With the help of Dylan, an old time friend and tech guy on the team, the position seems close at hand. Of course there must be some outside conflict to add that spark of adventure to the story and long buried feelings of romance begin to surface. An exciting beginning! I can't wait for the rest of the full length stories in the Classified K-9 Unit books!

Action from beginning to end

Wow, Zara and her K-9 partner Radar is heading home when Radar see something suspicious. Zara stop to take a look a bullets start flying. Dylan who was taken in my Zara's family when his parents were killed has been hiding his feelings for Zara for a decade, do she feel the same way. Time will tell if the survive. This story has house bombs, kidnapping, attempted murder and so much more. A great start to what looks to be a on the edge of the seat, cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Love this series!

I have read 3 of the 7 books in this series so far, and I am hooked. I have enjoyed each book, and look forward to reading the other books. This book had intense suspense. Zara, and Dylan were locked in a trunk together, and the car was pushed into a river. The action was good, and the romance between the two agents was sweet. I also loved Radar Zara’s K-9 partner. Excellent book.

Great K-9 story! Great romance!

Although Zara and Dylan's story is a prequel to the Classified K-9 series, it can be read out of order as I did. I loved reading the story of Zara and Dylan's romance as well as the continuing mystery of the series. Very glad these characters are part of the series. The author did a great job of making the characters real so you can relate to them. Great novella! Can't wait to read all the books in this series!

Great! But too short!

I just enjoy these K-9 stories! I have read all the ones following this one, but was drawn to really complete the coverage!

Dependable K9 instincts

This was a cute story about the love two people have for each other and how they finally admit it during a crisis. They are part of an FBI K9 group and the story shows how valuable these dogs are and what they are capable of doing. It is a quick and enjoyable read. After reading this story I plan to read more of the series.

Good book

I love Terri Reed's writing. This book was enjoyable and the characters were lovable. The only problem was the length of the book, it was too short. It left me looking for more. Thankfully, I have the rest of the series to fill that void. Maybe leaving me looking for more was the plan.

FANTASTIC!

If you're a fan of working dogs, the hero dogs who work with law enforcement to protect us, then you will absolutely love this book. In fact the whole series is great and it showcases how brave these dogs truly are. The romance is a pretty good thing too.
